Betsy Peterson

Also in the Willis Library you will find several unique ‘Humpty Dumpty’ type characters, the creation of Perry artist Betsy Peterson.  To the left of the fireplace you will spot a fellow reading the Des Moines Register, and to the right of the fireplace, you will see a jolly child with books Tom Sawyer and Mother Goose; a little farther to the right you’ll spot a happy sort of chap with a fishing pole and a stack of his favorite children’s books.  Betsy’s art can be found throughout the Hotel Pattee.  Her whimsical Biker with Dog reside in the RAGBRAI/BRR Room, and Mother Time can be found hovering over the Hotel Pattee’s time capsule in the lower level.​
